This device has a built-in solar panel which keeps the battery charged.
Place the batteries (Provided) in their compartment at the back of the unit. Make sure of the polarity. 
It is advisable, before installing the batteries, check whether they are properly charged.
Close the battery compartment with 4 screws provided.

The device has built-in low-battery detection and warning, if meet the rainy day continuously,the batteries

 do not have enough power, the low battery LED will flashing, then customers can use USB line connect DC socket(refer to photo) to charge the batteries(you can also connect adaptor to charge), also the device has over charge protection, it can protect batteries during over charging.
